Fashion is a seductive constantly evolving form of art. Fashion isn’t just found in the seams and details of clothes. It isn’t just found under a brand name of a store. Fashion is in the world around us. It is found nature, art, history, and anything you can pull inspiration from. Many people find themselves through this art form. The expressive power it withholds is inspiring in the way that creative ideas can help people to define and express their roles in the world. I personally find my inspiration not just in what has already been created in the industry, but in everything that surrounds me.
I am currently studying in the major of Fashion Marketing and Management with a minor in Business Management at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Taking courses specifically to my major will help me understand not just the creative process in which Fashion goes through, but also the logistics and how Fashion is run as a business. I hope to take what I learn from school and enter the field in the area of Visual Merchandising. Understanding who your customer is most important in this field and I would really like to expand my knowledge further in this subject.
